The Opportunity:

• As a Software Engineer with the Adobe Developer Platform, you will work with your Engineering team and partner with Product Management to take ideas for external developer ecosystem products and turn them into realized features in our Adobe Developer platform in an Agile environment and estimate assigned work, build OO designs, provide task breakdowns, and implement features and micro-services.
• As a Software Engineer, you are more than just a coder. In addition to your software engineering responsibilities, you are also encouraged to guide a small to medium-sized team to deliver in a product area by helping identify dependencies and risks for the group, being a planning consultant to the project managers, recommending improvements to our engineering practices and helping other specialists become more proficient in solving specific problems.
• We expect that you are a self-starter and bring your own ideas and innovations to the product.

What you’ll do:

• Innovate new features or functional domains.
• Contribute to architecture, design, and code while factoring in business priorities. Proactively identify problems with requirements.
• Seek out and learn new technologies and techniques, and advocate for their use.
• Articulate the difference between architectural options (advantageous & disadvantageous)
• Serve as a role model for the team, in terms of developing robust code both quickly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders beyond immediate team organization.
• Regularly share knowledge with peers both in and out of own team, mentor junior members.

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering (equivalent education or work experience).
• 2+ years of programming experience with Java technologies, o recent experience with Springboot and in-depth knowledge on HTTP and REST.
• Experience with data technologies (Redis, MongoDB, Kafka, Elasticsearch).
• Experience working with Cloud providers like Azure and AWS.
• Demonstrate sound knowledge of other technologies in use (Kubernetes, Node.js, Docker, JavaScript, etc.).
• Have outstanding experience in real-time or massively distributed systems.
• Ability to demonstrate a high level of ownership for the entire SDLC; including QA, build, deployment, and support of production systems.
• Ability to independently fulfill tasks with limited structure and minimal direction from management
